Naturally dyed yarns and knitting patterns.

When I started reducing the waste and ecological footprint of my family in 2015 I became interested in knitting and sewing to create a handmade wardrobe. I tried to avoid yarns and fabric containing synthetic material (e.g. nylon, polyester) but it wasn't always easy especially with sock yarn.

This is why I started natural dyeing.
I very much enjoy the process of dyeing yarn and the uniqueness of the colours that plants are able to produce. I hope you do to!

Designing knitting patterns is another interest of mine. It is quite different from dyeing yarn but just as enjoyable! When it comes to chosing yarn to knit my design idea with I am very careful in doing so. Since I try to avoid waste of any kind I aim to use yarn that is already in my stash whenever possible. If I don't already have a suitable yarn at home I choose a yarn (with regard to fiber content) and a dyer or a company that aligns with my values.
