Empecé a hacer muñecas de clavija para mi hija. Quería que tuviera gente de juguete simple y de calidad que fomentara el juego creativo abierto. Empezamos con un solo punk rocker y antes de darme cuenta, teníamos todo un barrio de gente de madera. A ella le encantaba jugar con ellos, a mí me encantaba hacerlos, ¡y nació la tienda!
Cuando era un niño pequeño, al niño le encantaba dibujar y fingir ser un robot, lo que inspiró el nombre de la tienda. En estos días, ella es un dinosaurio más que un robot, pero todavía se une a mí a menudo en mi estudio, pintando o jugando mientras trabajo.

I started out making peg dolls for my daughter. I wanted her to have simple, quality toy people that would foster open-ended creative play. We started with a single punk rocker and before I knew it, we had a whole neighborhood of little wooden people. She loved playing with them, I loved making them, and the shop was born!
As a toddler, the Child loved both drawing and pretending to be a robot, which inspired the shop name. These days, she is a dinosaur more than a robot, but she still joins me often in my studio, painting or playing while I work.
