Sequinity

Hace muchos años quise bordar una camiseta con el título de mi musical favorito. Sin embargo, resultó que el bordado era mucho más difícil de lo que pensaba, así que tuve que encontrar una alternativa. Esta alternativa eran las lentejuelas.
Usé la habilidad recién adquirida no mucho en ese entonces, simplemente por falta de razón. Hice esa camiseta, otra por si acaso, y terminé con ella.
En marzo de 2014 comencé a ver Supernatural, y en poco tiempo, los sigilos y símbolos del programa prácticamente me gritaban: Mira, somos perfectos para convertirnos en estampados de camisetas. ¿Pero las impresiones? no, eso no es ningún desafío.
Tal como está, el musical Mamma Mia estaba en mi ciudad una vez más, y obtuve mis viejos pantalones decorados con lentejuelas (la única otra cosa que había hecho en ese entonces) de mi armario, y me sorprendió una idea.
¿Por qué no usar lentejuelas para "imprimir" los símbolos y sigilos en las camisetas? Y así lo hice.
Para mí, este tipo de trabajo es relajante y muy divertido, porque me encanta ver los resultados de las cosas que he hecho con mis propias manos. Además, me encantan todas las cosas que brillan.
Así que aquí estamos, con estampados de camiseta de lentejuelas brillantes ¡Espero que os guste!

Mientras tanto, mis trabajos creativos han comenzado a generalizarse mucho más. A estas alturas, hago joyas, hago grabados de vidrio, pinturas por técnica de vertido, y he comenzado a diseñar ropa, aunque estas últimas aún no están hechas para la venta, sino solo para mí.

Many years back I wanted to embroider a t-shirt with the title from my favorite musical. However, as it turned out, embroidery was a lot harder than I thought, so I had to find an alternative. This alternative were sequins.
I used the newly acquired skill not that much back then, simply for lack of reason. I did that one t-shirt, another just in case, and was done with it.
In March 2014 I started watching Supernatural - and before long, the sigils and symbols from the show were practically screaming at me: Look, we are perfect for turning into t-shirt prints. But prints? Nah, that's no challenge.
As it is, the musical Mamma Mia was in my city once again, and I got my old sequin decorated trousers (the one other thing I had done back then) from my wardrobe - and was struck with an idea.
Why not use sequins to "print" the symbols and sigils on t-shirts? And so I did.
To me, this kind of work is relaxing and a lot of fun, because I love seeing the results of things I've done with my own hands. Plus, I love all things that sparkle.

Meanwhile, my creative works have started to become a lot more widespread. By now, I make jewelry, I do glass gravings, paintings by pouring technique, and I have started designing clothes, though the latter are not yet made for sale, but just for me.
