Tada is the sound a child makes when the lid comes off and the thing inside turns out to be about them
Tada is a small sound. It is what a child makes when the lid comes off a box
and whatever is inside turns out to be about them.
We named the shop after that half second. Everything below exists to earn it.
Tadagift makes personalized storybooks for children. Hardcover picture books
for ages 3 to 8, board books for the ones still chewing the corners. Every
book is written and illustrated for one child.
WE DRAW YOUR CHILD FROM YOUR PHOTO
Most personalized books print a name into a story written for nobody in
particular. We start somewhere else. You send us a photo, and your child is
illustrated from it: their hair, their glasses, their freckles, their skin
tone. Not a photo cut into a template. A drawing of them.
YOUR FAMILY IS IN THE PICTURES
Mom, Dad, brothers, sisters, the dog. Most books have room for one name and
nothing else. Ours have room for the people who are actually in the room at
bedtime.
WRITTEN TO BE READ OUT LOUD
Every children's book gets read aloud, so we build ours for the thirtieth
reading instead of the first. Short sentences. No forced rhyme. One repeating
line your child will be shouting back at you before the week is out.
A PAGE SIGNED BY YOU
The front of every book carries a dedication page: your message, your name.
Years from now, that is the page people stop on.
None of this is improvised. Every Tadagift story follows one structure we
tested page by page, so we know where the story turns, where the child solves
the problem instead of a grown-up, and where the whole family lands in the
frame together. Then it is illustrated, printed in hardcover, and packed to be
handed over.
Thank you for letting us be there when the lid comes off.
