Dance on Ruins - D.I.Y. & Upcycling - Vegan, Eco, Fair. And that's a good thing.
Dance on Ruins is an upcycling (art) workshop and do it yourself think tank and has been turning old and worthless, new and better since 2014.
Dance on ruins tries to breathe a new, higher quality life into seemingly useless or disused fabrics (from old bicycle coats to crown caps, tetrapaks to worthless circulation coins). In "upcycling", this "waste" is used from a sustainable point of view as a material for the creation of new, higher quality products. As an example, disused bicycle coats are to be mentioned here, which are usually burned as energy sources in the cement industry. Stylish individual belts are created from these bicycle coats - thus resources that would have had to be processed for the production are conserved, as existing materials are "upcycled".
Dance on ruins tries to operate as sustainably as possible. We make sure that all processes are carried out as resource-conserving and socially acceptable as possible (Greenpeace Energy electricity, GLS bank account, vegan printing inks, fair wages, etc.). Packaging and adhesive tape come from production processes that are as sustainable as possible or are recycled. Don't be surprised if the filling material is from old newspapers or the like. We don't see it to use specially made things for this.
Would you like to visit us? The Tanz auf Ruinen Showroom has been located at Rheinische Str. 137 in 44147 Dortmund since 2015. You can simply make an appointment with us. --> info@tanzaufruinen.de

4 out of 5 starsGot this as a gift for a co-worker. They're beautiful - the only downside was the seller did not include the message I wrote with my gift, so my co-worker was worried at first she was getting a gift from a random person and didn't know how to react. Turned out well in the end. She loves them now.

5 out of 5 starsI bought this as a gift for my husband who loves old computers. He was a little sorry about the floppy disks, but he was excited about the notebook ;) Very well done. And the shipping was super fast!
