Life is a journey - from organising conferences to knotting malas

No, my story is not the typical "and then I turned fifty and changed my life". I've always been multitasking ;-) All my business life I've been organizing things (camps, weddings, cultural events, websites, seminars, conferences...) but I always had a second even more creative outlet, too. That ranged from wiriting poems to doing collages, having teatime caterings, giving cooking lessons and today it is knotting malas and designing yoga bags.
Why malas? They helped me through hard times. And to start a day there's nothing better than a bit of yoga and a bit of chanting.
While starting my mala collection I discovered so many interesting facts about these old necklaces: Did you know that you should use your mala always praying the same mantra? If you change mantra you have to change mala, too. And if it breaks that is a good sign, it means you reached your mantra's goal and you are ready for the next step.
Apart from being spiritual companions they are beautiful as such. So I hope you find your perfect match! And keep on returning, as my the collection for mala- (and yoga-)lovers will be growing!
P.S. I found a perfect way to unite all my knowledge and passion: In 2019 I organized my first own Yoga Festival here in Salzburg: YOGIHEART. In November the edition for children will follow: YOGIHEART KIDS. And the second YOGIHEART 2.0 will take place on 16th & 17th of May 2020. Stay tuned: www.yogiheart.at

  • Judith Herzl

    Inhaber, Designer

  • Yumi

This is my assistant and controller :) Yumi is a Shiba Inu and loves me doing tassels as the long threads are hanging around in my atelier - so something to play with. When things get tricky - one look into her smiling eyes and I feel better!

  • Barbara Hohenwallner

I simply adore Barbara's photos, especially the ones of children... but as you see she's also very good in taking jewellry! Check out her work at www.wachsendewunder.at

  • Gabi Haselberger

I met Gabi at a Salzburg networking event. As my yogabag-tailoress from Vienna was no longer available I asked her if she could fill in, please? And she did! Although she is really busy with her own lovely things. Find her shop on www.strich-faden.at

Production partners

  • Gabi Haselberger - Strich & Faden

    Salzburg, Austria

Gabi is a miracle at the sewing machine, I am so glad to have her help me to put my designs into life! Check her out at www.strich-faden.at

  • Herzflimmern - Nadine Keilhofer

    Berchtesgaden, Germany
