As a child and young teenager I did a lot of tinkering and painting - but at some point it was over. The reason? No idea. Youthful renitenz, no time? Oh, I can't say exactly. But then came Corona and all of a sudden the old desire to do it yourself broke in me again. And actually more of a craft track with restoration and even furniture construction.

Through everything I have done in the months since Corona, the desire for craftsmanship, for design, has increased in me, so that I can no longer explain to myself how I have endured all these years without it.

And then, well, then I wanted to give my goddaughter a very special gift for Christmas - namely a craft calendar. I pulled out all the craft techniques and material stories that had been lying fallow in my head for a long time and thought about what might be suitable for the little one. But thinking alone is of no use, so I had to realize; the do-it-yourself, the personal experimentation, that's it. Said and done! And now I also had to realize that I myself probably have more fun crafting with Fimo, dotpainten and stone wrapping than my godmouse. And I can't keep everything I do...

The idea of selling some of my joyfully made things was born and after a while of researching which platform would be most suitable for it, I have now landed here and are taking my first steps. I first have to see if what I'm producing finds inclined buyers at all. So - test is running!

And why does it have a logo?, some people might ask. Because I also enjoyed the design of it and gave me the feeling that I had started a well-rounded thing.

Als Kind und junge Jugendliche habe ich viel gebastelt und gemalt - doch irgendwann war Schluss damit. Der Grund? Keine Ahnung. Jugendliche Renitenz, keine Zeit? Ach, ich kanns nicht genau sagen. Doch dann kam Corona und ganz plötzlich brach sich die alte Lust am Selbermachen in mir wieder Bahn. Und zwar eigentlich eher eine handwerkliche Bahn mit Restauration und sogar Möbelbau.

Durch all das, was ich in den Monaten seit Corona gemacht habe, hat sich in mir die Lust am Handwerklichen, am Gestalterischen potenziert, sodass ich mir gar nicht mehr erklären kann, wie ich es all die Jahre ohne ausgehalten habe.

Und dann, tja, dann wollte ich meiner Patentochter noch ein ganz besonderes Geschenk zu Weihnachten machen - nämlich einen Bastelkalender. Ich habe all die Basteltechniken und Materialgeschichten, die lange in meinem Kopf brachgelegen waren, wieder hervorgekramt und nachgedacht, was für die Kleine wohl geeignet sein könnte. Doch Nachdenken allein bringt nichts, so musste ich erkennen; das Selbstmachen, das persönliche Ausprobieren, das ist es. Gesagt, getan! Und nun musste ich zudem auch noch feststellen, dass ich selbst wohl mehr Spass am Basteln mit Fimo, am Dotpainten und am Steineeinwickeln habe, als meine Patenmaus. Und ich kann ja nicht alles behalten, was ich mache...

Die Idee, einen Teil meiner mit Freude gemachten Dinge zu verkaufen, war geboren und nach einer Weile der Recherche, welche Plattform wohl am geeignetsten dafür wäre, bin ich nun hier gelandet und mache meine ersten Schritte. Ich muss ja erst sehen, ob das, was ich da so produziere, überhaupt geneigte Abnehmer findet. Also - Test läuft!

Und warum hat die dann ein Logo?, wird vielleicht nun so manch einer fragen. Weil mir auch die Gestaltung desselben große Freude gemacht hat und mir das Gefühl vermittelt, eine runde Sache begonnen zu haben.
