Wearable art for adventurous souls
Hallo! Mein Name ist Tania Alexis Clarke. Ich lebe in Vancouver, Kanada und praktiziere bildende Kunst, solange ich mich erinnern kann. Fotografie ist ein großer Teil meines Lebens, seit ich als Teenager mit der Canon SLR 35mm-Filmkamera meines Vaters gelernt habe. Schließlich wurde das Reisen zu einer weiteren Leidenschaft, und die beiden zusammen führten zu einer riesigen Liste von Bildern.
Mit meinem Grafikdesign-Hintergrund führte mich jahrelanges Experimentieren mit digitaler Fotomanipulation dazu, komplexe und interessante Muster aus natürlichen und urbanen Texturen zu erstellen, die ich mit meinem Objektiv aufgenommen habe. Das Ergebnis war eine spannende Kombination aus Natur, Technik und Mode. Seit 2015 verfeinere ich den Prozess für Textilien und tragbare Kunst.
Ich glaube fest daran, die bestmögliche Wirkung auf unseren Planeten zu erzielen, und setze mich dafür ein, dass JUNCO meinen persönlichen Werten folgt. Meine Designs sind mit Blick auf die Natur entstanden. Dies ist sowohl eine Inspiration als auch eine Verpflichtung, es zu schützen. JUNCO unterstützt Umwelt- oder Tierschutzorganisationen. Dieses Jahr spende ich an die Raincoast Conservation Foundation. Frühere Spenden gingen an das Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary und WIRES Australia.
Hello! My name is Tania Alexis Clarke. I’m based in Vancouver, Canada and have been practicing visual art for as long as I can remember. Photography has been a large part of my life since I was a teenager learning with my dad’s Canon SLR 35mm film camera. Eventually travel became another passion, and the two together resulted in a huge roster of images.
With my graphic design background, years of experimenting with digital photo manipulation led me to creating complex and interesting patterns from natural and urban textures that I captured with my lens. The result was an exciting combination of nature, technology, and fashion. I have been refining the process for textiles and wearable art since 2015.
I am a firm believer in making the best possible impact on our planet, and am committed to ensuring JUNCO follows my personal values. My designs are created with nature in mind. This is both as an inspiration, and a commitment to protecting it. JUNCO supports environmental or animal welfare organizations. This year I am donating to Raincoast Conservation Foundation. Past donations have gone to Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary and WIRES Australia.
