KAKADU – paper and goods is a small creative label from Munich's Westend!
"We are Karen and Stevo. We like the mixture of abstract and reduced forms – preferably with strong colors. We are not only business partners, but also a great team privately:
Karen is a designer and responsible for the creative, Stevo for logistics and marketing."
The Mexican origin of Karen is, among other things, decisive for the illustrations and their color composition. The >Otomis<, an indigenous people from central Mexico, give the designer inspiration for this.
"WE LOVE PICTURES AND COLOUR – EMPTY WALLS ARE TABOO FOR US!"
The joint self-employment began in 2010 with the design zimmer – grafikdesign und designladen. The former graphic design office with integrated shop for selected design products and its own fashion label Hometown Hannover was jointly operated by Karen and Stevo for 5 years.
"In the meantime we have had two children, a little pirate and a little princess; have reoriented us professionally and have returned to Munich. Full of energy, ready for new things, we are now dedicating ourselves to KAKADU and other creative projects."
