Cellar works

On holidays, hikes and walks, I always find beautiful things or materials that I would like to process further in my cellar workshop. For example.B I bring back old roof tiles from dilapidated farmhouses from my holiday in Calabria. From this I then make unusual wall lamps. Driftwood, which I collect on the beach, becomes individual light objects or key boards. I make the key boards from old beard keys and various woods in a wide variety of designs. Fine wood and recycled bottles become special lanterns. When processing bottles, I realized that the bottle parts can be reused in many ways, e.B bottle plugs, candles or other objects.
Basically, what excites me in this work is the occupation with different materials and working techniques. Creating something new and beautiful in this way makes me happy. It is also fascinating that in this activity one thing leads to another and so my product range is expanding more and more. This also depends on which materials I can get. I am very happy when friends and acquaintances think of me, when e.B. wood, used glass or keys have to be disposed of. I am always a grateful customer for that. I can fall back on the further processing of a (meanwhile long ago) training as a carpenter. For me, the manual and creative activity is a leisure time balance, I do not strive for series production. In this way, special unique pieces are created in loving and careful manual work, which have their own history and may also please you.
