INTRODUCTION
The KA_LEN_DIAR weekly planners have been manufactured in the Czech Republic for the last 16 years. They are hand made from recycled materials and each piece is unique.

Due this no-easy time we decide to make this year only one text-free, minimalist and universal version of the Kalendiar (can be used anywhere in the world), with a block – 50 sheets (lined + blank). UNI version does not contain specific state or name holidays, international days or chapter LITTLE POCKET GUIDE. But it offers even more space for your own notes. The absolute minimum of the contained texts are in English here. UNI includes three sheets of colored stickers to stick in the diary – to organization according to its own needs.

MISSION
Our goal is to salvage and transform, as much as possible, previously used materials that are no longer needed and are intended for disposal. By directly recycling them we extend their life cycle. In this way, we try to discourage the consumption of other natural resources and make do with what is already available.

We manufacture covers from materials that would otherwise become waste, including plastic canisters used to store various liquids (soaps, washing up liquids, oils, fabric softeners, washer fluids etc.) or plastic lids from paints. The contents of the planner (hand-laid pages; paper wraps from food, old magazines, milk cartons (Tetra Pak), advertising scrap paper and others) would also otherwise end up in the dustbin.

Covers have been produced for many years by the sheltered workshop Salet o.s., focused on the integration of people with health and mental disorder, which unfortunately had to suspend operations in Prague due to lack of finance. Therefore, the covers are currently being manufactured in the Becalel workshop (social enterprise). The diaries are printed in the KARMÁŠEK s.r.o. on recycled paper and according to strict environmental standards (EU Eco Label certificate). They are produced in the A6 paper format.

As usual, the theme of this year’s diary is animals – they will accompany you each week of the year. This year, we have again decided to focus on the endangered species on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. These are for the most part critically endangered species, facing a high risk of extinction in the near future.

REFILL 2023
ATTENTION: applies to the Kalendiar A6 cover version only – not for Light version etc.
We have found a way of binding the diary together so that the contents can be easily removed from the cover (by cutting the flat elastic on the spine) and exchanged for the following year’s edition. We therefore recommend that you do not throw away the old cover A6 – it could be used again next year, when we are planning to start selling the contents (i.e. the REFILLS) separately as well.
