About

~*~ A fairy's heart beats wild and free ~*~

The Fairy Workshop started out as (and still is) a one-fairy business where the owner is also the maker, the receptionist, the accountant, the supplier and the fairy-for-all-other-things.

I live in Germany, but my home is the world. I love travelling and seeing foreign places and things, many of which inspire me for my fairy themed art. I love working with clay, which to me is like a meditative process.

My studio is in the heart of Lower Bavaria, a very green country that has a lot of things in common with Ireland: customs, traditions, people's humour and mindset. My workplace is in the middle of a beautiful fairy garden where I work and plant and sow when I'm not sculpting or making jewelry. Like a true fairy, I need light and air and flowers to grow and prosper. My favourite seasons therefore are spring and summer.

I am a Celtic pagan and wildwood shaman, trying to live in accordance with nature.

I'm also being owned by two fairy cats who help me a lot - either by sleeping on my material or demanding to be fed just that moment when I can't let go of the glue bottle.... =^.^=

Unfortunately, being an artisan doesn't earn me a living, so my main job is as a historian at a museum. That's a lot of fun, too, but I need to create something with my hands in order to achieve proper balance in my life. I hope to expand my little artsy business in the future by selling at festivals and craft fairs.

Please enjoy your stay at the Fairy Workshop - and maybe you'll find the right fairy item just for you :-)

Frequently asked questions
Wholesale availability

No wholesale enquiries, please. Since I am an individual artist creating all items by hand, I am in no position to offer wholesale conditions.

Custom and personalized orders

Anything is possible! Just convo me and we can discuss your wishes. Any picture, drawing, sketch etc. that you might have of the item you want to commission will be helpful.

Care instructions

Fairy doors and garden signs are made of a durable polymer clay mix (artist's own) and are sealed with weather-proof finish. They can be left outside during rainy seasons, however, in areas with extreme heat or frost, it is recommended to find a shady spot for your fairy door or place it inside during the winter.

Guarantees and Claims

There's no guarantee or warranty on my items unless otherwise stated.

Handmade policy

My items are hand-made with the exception of supplies such as gemstones, and findings used in jewelry (settings, chains).
