I Make Beads!
I make contemporary artisan handmade glass lampwork beads in an organic style. What does that mean? Well, the bead part is pretty self explanatory. The organic style means that my beads have a somewhat free-form feel to them, however I am very careful to make the beads uniform. I like to call it organized chaos.
What do I do? I melt glass with a bench mounted torch using propane as a fuel and oxygen. These are usually formed onto a metal rod called a mandrel. Once the bead is finished, I place the bead into a hot kiln until I am finished making beads for the day. Then kiln is then slowly ramped down to room temperature - this is called annealing. This allows any stresses caused by temperature to be released from the beads, and helps to keep them stable in the future.

FAQs
Do your beads fit on Pandora ® / Troll ™ / etc. bracelets?
My beads with larger holes (3/16 inch) will fit and are great on the interchangeable bracelet systems. I do not sell the brand name beads, only beads which I, myself make.
The beads (11mm diameter and some 14mm diameter) with the smaller holes (1/16 and 3/32 inch) will not.
Sizing details
I make a variety of bead sizes with a variety of hole sizes. If you need some size other than what is listed, please let me know; I likely can accommodate it.
Beads with larger holes (3/16 inch) are great for the interchangeable bead bracelet systems.
The beads with the smaller holes (1/16 and 3/32 inch) are great for jewelry makers. The sizes are appropriate for earrings, necklaces, and whatever you can imagine. They do not fit on the interchangeable bracelets.
Custom and personalized orders
I do love custom work. Bead size, bead shape, hole size, and color are just a few options. Contact me!
Care instructions
The beads can be washed and also etched.
I would not recommend running the beads through a tumbler. Most of my beads are embellished with fine silver. There are often little balls of silver attached which will come loose if run through a tumbler.
Wholesale availability
For orders over $500.00, I have a wholesale discount of 30%. Please contact me for details.
Do you require credit for use of your beads in my jewelry?
While I would love to be credited for beads that you use, some people prefer to keep their sources private. I respect that, so credit is not necessary.
