Young Teen's Creative Spark Leads to New Adventures in the World of Business
Anna began her business in February 2020, at the age of 14. Anna is an extremely creative individual and loves to paint, draw, sculpt, among all other sorts of art making. One day, she painted a sea shell and enjoyed doing it so much, she kept on painting - dozens and dozens of sea shells were painstakingly painted with numerous coats, along with additions of fun accents, adding them to vases and more, and creative design work. From "watermelon" sea shells to "pizza" sea shells, all are one of a kind. She decide to start selling and sold many to family and friends in 2020, and many are now available on Etsy.
What began as a start in painting sea shells for decorative use, she expanded quite a bit into other creative realms. In the summer of 2020, she got into hand-stitching pillows and hair scrunchies. She designed and cut her own fabric and made many cute decorative pillows (some are currently on sale in the shop). From there, she discovered handstitching scrunchies was a great past-time. She made well over a hundred that summer! They are also for sale.
In summer of 2021, Anna entered the world of jewelry making and fell in love with it. She took multiple jewelry classes to learn how to hand wrap wire, make clay beads, and design. Each piece she has made is 100% unique. She spends countless hours doing metal wire work for earrings, necklaces and bracelets. She loves the repetition. So much so, she made over a hundred pieces of jewelry. It was then she decided to try selling at craft shows.
In summer/fall of 2021, she attended about a half dozen craft shows. Many attendees were impressed with her jewelry work and other creative passions, that several encouraged her to join Etsy.
The Shell Patch officially became a Limited Liability Company, LLC, in the fall of 2021, marking Anna's start in the world of business ownership. It was been a fun and educational experience, with a big learning curve.
She opened her Etsy shop in January 2022. She hopes you enjoy her creativity as you shop her art work. The Shell Patch, LLC, can also be found on Facebook. Be sure to visit and "like" her page there. Thank you for visiting Anna's business at Etsy.
