- A very nice detailed and decorated Vintage Japanese hand painted gilded Satsuma Moriage Immortals Teapot in good and used Vintage condition with Moriage detailing [raised paint] in several colors.Also features gilt detailing.Several of the colored glazes are raised and form a rich textural relief to the surface.Dragon shaped gold headed spout as well as a gold dragon shaped lid.Gold wear/ gold losses at both dragons.Base is marked.Minor chip at the opening of the teapot, hardly visible,see images.Wear to the gilt detailing and traces of use, normal for early age, a few spots and fading of colors that are indicative of the apparent age and use.Nothing to detract from the beauty or durability of the teapot! Estimated period: '50's [can be earlier].[Without wooden stand].
