This nicely finished, full-size Mulucky brand open back banjo is all maple with a very natural looking Remo Weatherking head. I add my colorful hand-painted wildflower meadow design around the edge of the top, protected by a coat of matte varnish. Matching flowers on the headstock complement the main design and are protected by a satin varnish that matches the rest of the instrument. This five-string banjo has great resonance and the open back allows action height to be easily fine-tuned with the accessible tensioner. Weight is also less than a resonator style banjo.

(NOTE: “Custom head only” option is just for the cost of me painting a new banjo head cover that you ship to me. It does not include either the head head itself or a banjo)

Includes a nicely-padded gig bag, extra strings, metal finger picks, and a strap.

Wow.. I'm absolutely floored by this instrument. It is even more gorgeous in person. Karl was also gracious enough to add some Alaskan fireweed and forget-me-nots to the wildflower mix. I also can't believe how fast this arrived, and in pristine condition! Thank you so much, I will treasure this!

I am soooooo happy with this banjo!!! The colorful wildflower artwork is beautifully done with a lot of love, care, and attention. I love playing a banjo with flowers on it, and I think the idea of adding art to the banjo head and headstock is ingenious. The banjo itself, a Mulucky, is pretty darn good! I used to play semi-professionally and had a Gibson Mastertone, and I'm pretty happy with how resonant and responsive the Mulucky is. Overall, this is one of the best purchases I've ever made on Etsy!
