SUSTAINABLE :
My whole collection is hand woven on hand looms, by local artisans in India.
The weavers work form their home, which means the production process does not emit any fumes. Further, the weavers are safe from working in hazardous, run down factories. The work does not require a commute either, saving weavers money and time.
Every carpet is unique and individually made by hand, although they follow the same "pattern". The colours may vary.

MAINTENANCE :
Chindis are easily maintained. You can spot clean it by hand using cold water at home – be careful that the detergent is bleach-free. Use a mild detergent and a clean cloth. Blot and pat dry.

We have made the rugs reversible to prolong the life, and can be spot cleaned as needed.
Our suggestion is to flip the Chindi rug once every 3 months, for even wear.

Sustainable rag rugs cannot be "washed in one piece" since they are an unspecified mix of cut-off materials.

Flatten unwanted folds:
Shipping, storage or impressions from heavy furniture can occur. Correction is easy.
With a clean, damp (wring dry), cotton tea towel,
- Lay tea towel flat over the unwanted fold
- Place a heavy flat weight, like books or magazines on top.
- Leave for a few hours
- Remove and leave the area to dry. Repeat if needed

All products are handwoven and flat weave. Our collection is reversible & identical on both sides.
Dhurries are 100% cotton, spot clean and wipe off with a clean, damp cloth. If using cleaning agent, choose detergent without bleaching agents or colour-altering chemicals.

Chindi carpets are made from sustainable materials. Wipe off and spot cleaned using a damp, clean cloth. The warp and weft are raw meaning they can catch on chair legs dragged across them. With daily use, some of these strips may protrude the surface. Simply cut ends off using sharp scissors. We recommend professional dry cleaning.
Flatten unwanted folds or impressions after heavy furniture with damp cotton tea towels and heavy flat weigh,t like books or magazines.

Cushions are in sizes 45 x 45 cm & 50 x 50 cm.
Cushion come with filler cushions of polyester (bought from danish company)

I was a bit hesitant to spend so much money for a rug off the internet that I hadn't seen in real life, especially one this size that was going to take over my living space, but it was absolutely worth it. Quality, colour, shipping, communication with the seller - I can't say enough good things about it (thanks Charlotte!). AND it arrived in two days.
