MOCO Qiviut is proud to introduce 100% Qiviut Yarn from Greenland in 50gm (1.7oz) / 200m (218yds) 2ply skein. Qiviut is one of the rarest fine fibers in the world and in very limited supply.

This is one skein of true Fingering weight yarn from the undercoat of Greenland's Muskus (muskox) that may be used as a Light Sport weight if desired due to qiviut's natural "blooming" characteristics. It actually softens and fluffs as you work and wear it while it resists pilling and felting. Qiviut is 7 times warmer than wool by weight providing incomparable warmth in a lightweight garment. This one skein will make a very cozy hat, cowl or a scarf approximately 6" x 48", for a larger scarf order two skeins. Two skeins will also make a pair of extremely comforting gloves or mittens.

Cognac Diamond is a Hand-Painted rich copper colorway with subtle variations created by Mountain Colors, Inc and custom dyed for MOCO Qiviut. Dye lots are limited to small quantities at this time. If you are planning a large garment, please contact me for custom dyeing options. Please allow 2-3 weeks for custom dyed yarns. Listings here on Etsy are currently in stock.
