PDF CROCHET PATTERN Basic Triangular Granny Shawl or Scarf

The Basic Triangular Granny Shawl is an essential beginner’s shawl/triangle scarf pattern. If you’ve never made a shawl before.. this pattern is for you! This pattern utilizes CSDC (chainless starting double crochet). If you are unfamiliar with this technique please check out the attached tutorial in the notes section. This pattern is very versatile, easy to read, easy to customize and can be made with any yarn weight.. just make sure to use the corresponding hook size.

The sample photo with the coral, teal, white and hints of purple is Lion Brand Mandala in Pegasus - #3 Light (DK weight).
The sample photo with the blues, greens and yellow is Bernat Super Value in Whirlpool - #4 Medium (worsted weight)
Both shawls were made using a 5mm (H) hook.
