Hallo
Hello,
My name is Christa Martin and I’m the artist and Maker of All the Pretties. I’m a disabled artist who channels my struggles, pain and mental illness into handcrafting, unique and joy filled pieces of jewelry just for you.
Creating has helped me regain my confidence, find propose and embrace my disabilities. All the Pretties has truly saved my life. It’s given me hope on days when I feel lost in the world.
Creating has helped me turn my darkness into light and then share that light with my community.
I create at my own pace, a slow and mindful pace. It allows me to take extra care of myself on days when I struggle most with my illnesses and disabilities.
I’m an intersectional feminist, a disability & mental heath advocate, and a supporter and ally of the 2SLGBTQIA+ , BIPOC and marginalized communities.
Im a strong believer in Shine Theory, Spoon Theory and inclusivity for ALL bodies.
I love creating, connecting with people and seeing how much joy art brings to our world.
I acknowledge that the land on which I live in New Brunswick is situated
on the unceded and unsurrendered territories of the Wǝlastǝkwiyik/Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet), Mi’kmaq/Mi’kmaw and Peskotomuhkatiyik/Peskotomuhkati (Passamaquoddy).
