Noi di Copywrong viviamo al limite di ciò che è "consentito". Nel corso degli anni, abbiamo collezionato più lettere di diffida di quanti adesivi la maggior parte delle persone raccolga – ahah, lo sappiamo – e, onestamente, lo indossiamo come un distintivo d'onore. Significa che stiamo facendo ciò che ci siamo sempre prefissati di fare: spingerci oltre i limiti, remixare la cultura e mettere in discussione chi ha davvero il diritto di "possedere" la creatività.
Allarghiamo il confine tra ispirazione e violazione; non per negligenza, ma perché crediamo che l'arte sia fatta per essere condivisa, remixata e reinventata. Abbiamo un codice: rubare come un artista, puntare alle grandi aziende e mai ai piccoli creatori come noi. Quindi sì, abbiamo ricevuto lettere dagli avvocati. Ma siamo ancora qui. Continuiamo a creare. Continuiamo a fare errori di copyright.
NOTA A PIÈ DI PAGINA: Copywrong è il marchio gemello di Malandra Supply e Propagandastic, ma è il figlio ribelle della famiglia. Quello che arriva in ritardo, fa troppo rumore e in qualche modo ruba comunque la scena. At Copywrong, we live on the edge of what’s “allowed.” Over the years, we’ve collected more cease-and-desist letters than most people collect stickers –haha, we know–, and honestly, we wear that as a badge of honor. It means we’re doing what we’ve always set out to do: push limits, remix culture, and question who really gets to “own” creativity.
We stretch the line between inspiration and infringement; not out of carelessness, but because we believe art is meant to be shared, remixed, and reimagined. We’ve got a code: steal like an artist, aim at the big corporations, and never at small creators like us. So yeah, we’ve had lawyers send us letters. But we’re still here. Still making. Still Copywrong.
FOOTNOTE: Copywrong is the sister brand of Malandra Supply and Propagandastic, but it’s the rebel child of the family. The one who shows up late, makes too much noise, and still somehow steals the spotlight.
