Engineering & Design | Precision in Every Detail
Where technical expertise meets functional solutions.
Welcome to my shop. My name is Daniel, and I am dedicated to developing products that excel through quality, durability, and uncompromising functionality.
My Background: Precision as a Standard
My professional journey spans from Industrial Product Design and CNC Manufacturing to Engineering in high-performance Motorsport. In a world where fractions of a millimeter and extreme material stress determine performance, I have learned what truly matters:
Material Science: I don’t select materials based on price, but on their technical suitability for the environment—focusing on UV resistance, thermal stability, and impact strength.
Form & Function: A design is only successful if it solves a problem efficiently, without unnecessary complexity.
Built to Last: My goal is to create products that perform their duty reliably for years to come.
From the Racetrack to Everyday Solutions
I apply the rigorous standards of mechanical engineering and motorsport directly to my projects. Every item in this shop—whether additively manufactured or conventionally developed—undergoes a strict process of CAD construction, prototyping, and stress testing.
By utilizing advanced manufacturing techniques, such as industrial-grade 3D printing with high-performance polymers, I realize components that are superior to off-the-shelf solutions in terms of stability, fit, and feel.
My Promise to You
I do not produce mass-market goods. I create thoughtful solutions for individuals who value technical know-how and craftsmanship. Every product that leaves my workshop has met my own high standards as an engineer.

Frequently asked questions
GENERAL & MATERIALS Frage: Who designs and manufactures these products?
Every single item in this shop is 100% independently designed, engineered, and manufactured by myself in my workshop on the coast of Portugal. Before moving to the ocean, I worked in Germany as a mechanical engineer in the high-stakes motorsport industry. I apply that exact same dedication to precision, durability, and weight optimization to every surf and action-cam accessory I create.
What materials do you use? Are they saltwater safe?
Yes, absolutely. I only use premium, industrial-grade materials specifically selected for harsh marine environments. For structural components like fin boxes, I use Carbon Fiber Reinforced Nylon (PA-CF) for maximum stiffness. For accessories like filler plugs and mounts, I use high-quality, UV-stable PETG (Marine Grade). Unlike cheap standard plastics, my materials will not warp in a hot car or degrade under the blazing sun and saltwater.
CARBON FIN BOXES (Futures Compatible) Carbon Fin Boxes: Are they compatible with original Futures fins?
Yes, the internal geometry is precision-engineered to perfectly match the standard Futures-style fin base. You can use your original Futures fins, aftermarket fins, or 3D-printed fins seamlessly.
Carbon Fin Boxes: Can I use them with Polyester or Epoxy resin?
You can use both! Standard smooth plastic boxes require heavy sanding to bond properly. Our 3D-printed Carbon-Nylon boxes feature a unique micro-textured surface. This texture creates a flawless, incredibly strong mechanical cross-link with both Epoxy and Polyester laminating resins, effectively preventing delamination under heavy structural loads.
Lib Tech Filler Plugs: Why do I need them and how do they install?
If you run a 5-fin setup but prefer riding your board as a Thruster or Twin-fin, the empty boxes create heavy water turbulence, drag, and constantly collect sand and debris. These filler plugs seal the unneeded slots for a perfect hydrodynamic flow and more speed.
Important installation note: To prevent them from slipping out while riding, the fillers must be locked in place using your board's original fin grub screws.
Lib Tech Filler Plugs: Which size do I need to order?
Lib Tech surfboard boxes can slightly vary depending on the specific model and production year. I offer both a 94 mm and a 100 mm version. Please make sure to measure the exact length of your empty fin box slots before ordering to select the perfect size from the dropdown menu.
GoPro Mounts: How do your mounts differ from original accessories?
Standard action-cam mounts are often mass-produced from cheap, brittle plastic that can break under heavy wipeouts or intense vibrations. Coming from a motorsport background, I design my surf and gear mounts with optimized wall thicknesses and stress-distribution curves. Printed in ultra-tough, impact-resistant PETG, they offer maximum security for your camera when the waves are pumping.
Shipping: Where do you ship from and what is "Made to Order"?
To reduce waste and guarantee the highest quality control, I do not run a massive automated warehouse. Most products are "Made to Order"—meaning they are custom-printed specifically for you right after you place your order. All items are securely packed and shipped directly from my workshop in Portugal to surfers and makers worldwide.
