Have since childhood designed and created all sorts of things.
Some of my first memories I have are from around my eight years, an elderly neighbor lady who lived in a small ground floor apartment. She let me in and showed me the most beautiful lace baby christening robes and bonnets she made and sewed for a shop. They were great and I loved the beautiful fabrics, lace and other materials she used in her creations. Then I was sold to sewing and for using buttons, lace, ribbons, al kind of fabrics and items that can be used for sewing beautiful creations.
In 1998 I obtained a tailor education at DTTA (www.dtta.dk) and used here for the first time the name cocone, which came of that for many years I had been called coco Hanne a nickname for aunt. I pulled the two words together and formed my tailor name.
Has designed, constructed and made many, many different products over the years, from theatrical costumes, dance clothes and costumes for kids, bags and accessories as well as a lot of repairs and sewing clothes for both party and everyday wardrobe. I also has made all cushions and pillows to the French castle Domaine de la Côte d'Or (www.cotedor.dk)
In 2000, I was hit by chronic debilitating psoriasis in my hands, and subsequently my projects have been considerable smaller, so instead of many great dresses, corsets and crinolines - it has become handbags, purses, etc. - Many small unique creations instead and I love it.
Besides design and tailoring, I have over the years experimented with mosaic, painting and many other forms of expression in creativity and the arts. Around on my website www.cocone.dk there will be some pictures of these works.
Here on Etsy, is my intension to put continually PDF sewing patterns of things for Christmas, accessories and clothing for sale.
