Olá, amigas crocheteiras! Meu nome é Alyssa. Sou natural de Michigan, mas moro em Chicago há 12 anos. Sempre fui uma pessoa criativa e me aventurei em diversas formas de expressão artística ao longo dos anos, mas nunca me senti tão apaixonada por uma arte como quando comecei a fazer crochê. Peguei uma agulha pela primeira vez há cerca de 3 anos e meio, e isso realmente mudou minha vida.
A natureza repetitiva do crochê me traz paz e acalma meu cérebro com TDAH. E o processo criativo me reconecta com a parte de mim que amava criar coisas quando criança. O que começou como um hobby rapidamente se tornou uma paixão, e agora criar padrões é uma das minhas maneiras favoritas de compartilhar essa alegria com os outros.
Sou muito grata por este ofício e por todos vocês que o amam tanto quanto eu.

Hi crochet friends! I'm Alyssa. I'm a Michigan native who has called Chicago home for the past 12 years. I've always been a creative person and have dabbled in various creative outlets over the years, but I've truly never felt so passionate about an art form until I started crocheting. I picked up a hook about 3.5 years ago, and it genuinely changed my life.
The repetitive nature of crochet brings me peace and calms my ADHD brain. And the creative process reconnects me with the part of myself that loved making things as a child. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion, and now designing patterns is one of my favorite ways to share that joy with others.
I am so very thankful for this craft, and for all of you that love it just as much as I do.
