For pretty much all of my life, I've had a thing for paper goods. When I was a kid, my grandmother lived down the road from a large paper manufacturer. On the weekend, we'd sometimes walk to the large waste bins where they discarded their excess, seconds, and scraps. I'd come away with scores of "treasures" --- shipping tags, mailing labels, receipt books, and stacks of precious scrap paper. I felt like a queen! Everything got put to good use: playing "office secretary," writing letters to my friends, making my own stickers, writing out fake receipts for "services rendered."

Not much has changed. I am still crazy in love with stationery, rubber stamps, stickers, journals and have created bundles of envelopes in every size and color just because it makes me happy. I also believe no e-mail, text, or "tweet" can ever compare to a handwritten letter that a person can hold in her hands and tuck away in a drawer to be rediscovered and enjoyed again later.
