It began with my own need for help
Dodici anni fa non pensavo di avviare un'attività. Cercavo solo di aiutare mia madre a prendersi cura di mio padre, che soffriva di Alzheimer.
Chiunque abbia prestato assistenza a qualcuno conosce quei momenti in pubblico - al supermercato, in banca, al ristorante - in cui il comportamento della persona cara non corrisponde a ciò che gli estranei si aspettano. Gli sguardi confusi. Il giudizio. La stanchezza di dover dare spiegazioni in continuazione.
Così ho ideato qualcosa di semplice: dei biglietti di presentazione. Piccoli biglietti che potevamo consegnare alle persone, che spiegassero con calma la situazione di mio padre, senza doverci ripetere o sentirci esposti sul momento.
Hanno fatto davvero la differenza per noi. E sapevo che se avessero aiutato noi, avrebbero aiutato anche altri assistenti.
È così che è nato questo negozio: da un bisogno reale di una famiglia e dalla speranza che ciò che ci ha aiutato potesse aiutare qualcun altro che stava percorrendo una strada simile.
Negli ultimi 12 anni, il negozio si è ampliato fino a includere diari devozionali, biglietti con le Scritture, prodotti per la cura della pelle, ceramiche e altri prodotti fatti a mano. Ciò che non è cambiato è il cuore che lo anima: creare risorse per la vita reale, realizzate con cura e attenzione ai dettagli.
Dopo oltre 500 recensioni a cinque stelle, sono ancora qui: continuo a creare, continuo a imparare, continuo a sperare che ciò che creo ti arrivi esattamente dove ne hai bisogno.

Twelve years ago, I wasn't thinking about starting a business. I was just trying to help my mom care for my dad, who had Alzheimer's.
Anyone who's been a caregiver knows those moments in public - at the grocery store, the bank, a restaurant - when your loved one's behavior doesn't match what strangers expect. The confused looks. The judgment. The exhaustion of explaining over and over.
So I designed something simple: introduction cards. Small cards we could hand to people that quietly explained my dad's situation without having to repeat ourselves or feel exposed in the moment.
They made such a difference for us. And I knew if they helped us, they'd help other caregivers too.
That's how this shop started - from one family's real need and the hope that what helped us might help someone else walking a similar road.
Over the past 12 years, the shop has grown to include devotional journals, scripture cards, skincare, pottery, and other handmade pieces. What hasn't changed is the heart behind it: creating resources for real life, made with care and attention to detail.
