This pattern was relatively easy to follow. I recommend ready the entire pattern first as there are a couple of design options. Quick simple sew. Will be using the pattern again.

A life without sewing is possible ... but pointless

Welcome to my Etsy shop!

I have been passionate about sewing since I was five years old. It all started with a doll dress back then, because the doll I was given didn't wear any clothes. Luckily, my aunt was a talented master tailor and helped me to realize my first project - a purple-green iridescent doll dress 👗 with ruffles.

With the support of my aunt, my passion for sewing developed and I began designing entire Barbie collections. During my youth, I was completely seized by sewing fever. I couldn't wait for the next Burda magazine to come out and enthusiastically rummaged through the fabric departments of Munich shops to fill my bags with beautiful fabrics. Back then I still sewed with woven fabrics, and a meter of fabric cost an average of only 1 DM😲, while a finer fabric like silk cost about 20 DM per meter - a real luxury!

Founding of the TOSCAminni pattern manufactory

I have been designing my own patterns under the TOSCAminni-Schnittmanufaktur label since 2008 and enjoy being able to practice this wonderful craft every day. It never stops being fascinating because there are always new sewing techniques to be discovered. The design and preparation of patterns have also evolved enormously - from earlier tracing patterns with the copying wheel to today's digital creation with a beamer. Today you are not only a designer but a social media manager - filmmaker and media designer - it never gets boring 🎉😄👏

The typical TOSCAminni style?

If it's a real TOSCAminni cut, then it's very extravagant, like the Muriel dress, for example - but you as the customer should be in the foreground, so my patterns are as varied as the people who wear them. From simple to extravagant, from sporty to romantic and much more - there should be something for every taste. What is typical for us - we love to work mainly with single-colored and high-quality fabrics because they can be easily combined in color. The garments are therefore timeless and remain attractive even after many years in contrast to patterned fabrics.

Willkommen in meinem Etsy-Shop!

Schon seit meinem fünften Lebensjahr nähe ich leidenschaftlich gerne. Alles begann damals mit einem Puppenkleid, da die Puppe, die ich geschenkt bekam, keine Kleider trug. Glücklicherweise war meine Tante eine talentierte Schneidermeisterin und half mir, mein erstes Projekt umzusetzen – ein lila-grün changierendes Puppenkleid 👗 mit Rüschen.

Durch die Unterstützung meiner Tante entwickelte sich meine Leidenschaft fürs Nähen weiter, und ich begann ganze Barbiekollektionen zu entwerfen. Während meiner Jugend erfasste mich das Nähfieber vollends. Ich konnte es kaum erwarten, bis die nächste Burda-Zeitschrift erschien, und stöberte begeistert durch die Stoffabteilungen der Münchner Geschäfte, um meine Taschen mit wunderschönen Stoffen zu füllen. Damals nähte ich noch mit Webware, und ein Meter Stoff kostete durchschnittlich nur 1 DM😲, während ein edlerer Stoff wie Seide etwa 20 DM pro Meter kostete – ein wahrer Luxus!

Gründung der TOSCAminni-Schnittmanufaktur

Seit 2008 entwerfe ich meine eigenen Schnittmuster unter dem Label TOSCAminni-Schnittmanufaktur und genieße es jeden Tag, dieses wunderbare Handwerk ausüben zu dürfen. Es hört nie auf, faszinierend zu sein, denn es gibt immer wieder neue Nähtechniken zu entdecken. Auch die Gestaltung und Aufbereitung von Schnittmustern haben sich enorm weiterentwickelt – von früherem Abpausen mit dem Kopierrädchen von Schnittmusterbögen bis hin zur heutigen digitalen Erstellung mit einem Beamer. Heute ist man nicht nur Designerin sondern Social-Media-Managerin - Filmemacherin und Mediengestalterin - es wird als niemals langweilig 🎉😄👏

Der typische TOSCAminni-Stil?

Wenn es ein echter TOSCAminni-Schnitt ist, dann ist er sehr extravagant, wie zum Beispiel das Kleid Muriel - aaaber ihr als Kunde sollt im Vordergrund stehen, so sind meine Schnittmuster so vielseitig wie die Menschen, die sie tragen. Von schlicht bis extravagant, von sportlich bis romantisch und vieles mehr – es soll für jeden Geschmack etwas angeboten werden. Was typisch für uns ist - wir lieben es, überwiegend mit unifarbenen und hochwertigen Stoffen zu arbeiten, da sie sich leicht farblich kombinieren lassen. Die Kleidungsstücke sind damit zeitlos und bleiben ansprechend bleiben, selbst nach vielen Jahren im Gegensatz zu gemusterten Stoffen.
