Frequently asked questions
When will my item ship?
I generally beat my processing time to prepare an order. But during high volume times, I edit this timeline in each listing. Please keep in mind this is the time I need to create, make, package and ship out your item. Allow 1-4 days for your item to arrive after it has been shipped. Once an item is shipped, it is in the hands of the USPS and I do not have any control of it at that point. Please contact your local USPS for any USPS related questions and/or concerns.
My item has shipped but it hasn't arrived. What do I do?
Once I ship your items, they are with your preferred carrier (generally, USPS). After this handoff, I don't have control over the order. You can use the tracking number provided to track your items through shipping, but if shipping speeds are not up to your expectations, please contact USPS.
My order is incorrect, what do I do?
If your order is incorrect, please double check your invoice and ensure everything has been filled out correctly. Double check the spelling of all custom names, double check the variations chosen for size/pattern. If the invoice matches the items received, I cannot process refunds or returns with these personalizations.
However, if the error is made on my end, I am more than happy to resend a new item. Please reach out to me right away with a photo and I am happy to help resolve any issues!
I gave the wrong address. What happens?
Unfortunately I have no ability to determine whether or not the address you provided is the intended address. Please make sure that the address you're providing is accurate. I will not issue refunds for items mailed to the wrong address.
My package was stolen. What do I do?
I'm so sorry you've had the unfortunate experience of porch pirates. I am not able to control your order once it is in the hands of a shipping carrier. You can use the tracking number provided to track your items through shipping, and contact the carrier in the case of a theft. I am unable to replace handmade items or offer a refund in the instance of theft.
How do you screenprint the items in your store?
I am an amateur screen-printer making my prints on a custom rig I built myself that I use in my home studio. I taught myself emulsion based screenprinting. When I create a new illustration, I burn that to a new screen, which involves using a homemade exposure unit and lots of trial and error as well as the use of my power washer in the backyard. That said, not every print is perfection, which is kind of the beauty of screenprinting. This disclaimer is in each screenprinted listing as well. Please expect variations to prints as they are each hand-pulled by me.
What kind of embroidery are you doing?
I offer chainstitch and chenille/moss stitch embroidery. Both are done on the same kind of machine. This kind of embroidery is done with heavier weight thread, and has a larger stitch than typical computerized embroidery. It is also done by me - in that I'm steering and guiding each stitch of embroidery with the handle underneath my machine. I use my right foot and my right hand to start/stop and steer the embroidery as I go. It takes time as well as a special skillset to make each piece.
Will you work for free?
Hey....no, I won't. I do love a custom project, but I will not send over design work or begin screenprinting/embroidering/making anything without first receiving payment for the project. Unfortunately, there are too many people in this world that take advantage of artists and I've been burned in the past, multiple times. As much good faith as I can put into you, dear customer, I need to protect my boundaries and time.
