Last Word Press si trova a Olympia, WA nelle catacombe di Last Word Books. Last Word è più di una libreria, più delle quattro mura che la contengono. Quei nababbi della negatività hanno da tempo dichiarato la morte della parola stampata, ma noi ci rifiutiamo di lasciare che ciò accada. Usando un'antica tipografia, macchine offset e fotocopiatrici digitali stiamo lentamente mettendo insieme le fondamenta di un impero editoriale.

Crediamo più che mai nella necessità di investire nelle tradizioni e nelle abitudini della parola stampata, per dare voce alla vita e al sostentamento di una vita che non può essere catturata in soli pixel, una vita che è più della somma della sua lettura. Con ognuno la nostra storia da raccontare dobbiamo catturare quello spirito illusorio che vive tra le righe e dopo la chiusura del libro dei nostri giorni, dove tutti viviamo sogni passati e ricordi di cose passate.

Tolkien, molto presto stai leggendo cose più difficili come Kerouac e Burroughs, la prossima cosa che sai che sei legato a Bukowski e DeSade, preoccupandoti del Patriot Act e della libertà di parola e unendoti all'ACLU. Se i libri sono la tua droga preferita, Last Word ha la tua soluzione!

Anche se potresti non essere d'accordo con alcuni degli argomenti che offriamo, ti assicuriamo che stai supportando una buona organizzazione. Although you may not agree with some of the subject matter we offer, rest assured that you’re supporting a good organization. We value individual rights and freedoms, we champion the environment and Earth’s remaining natural resources, and we believe in homegrown food, politics, and principles.

We represent an extended community of Activists across the spectrum: parents, teachers, craftspeople, blue-collar workers, students, republican farm wives, and small dogs. Our proceeds fuel our future endeavors, put locally grown and organic food in our children’s tummies, and fight for common causes in our communities. We try to support local communities wherever we travel, and we hope you’ll consider supporting ours.
