Printmaking is not a job, it is a Life, My Life!

I have been working full time as a printmaker first and painter second for the last 25 years.
I started out making craft things in wood, and progressed to printmaking, which has turned out to be my medium and the big love of my life!
I run my own printmaking studio - www.facebook.com/printmakerMJEllis - where I not only produce my own work, but also give printmaking courses.
I love making small etchings and big linocuts, and often start an idea, by first making a small etching, that then becomes the seed for a larger linocut. To my etchings I add aquatint, a complicated and very old fashioned process that for me just makes the etching come alive with all the different tones! For each and every time you print, the plate, be it copper or lino, has to be inked up again with ink and taken through the etching press, that with the help of pressure transfers the image to the printmaking paper. I love getting reviews in my etsy shops, as they do show I am getting something right, and that makes the artist in me feel great!

Thank you, for making a purchase, right now, for me as an independent artist, this is a lifeline and I am so glad to see your order! I mail as soon as it is possible, mostly within a day or 2. My studio is in Denmark, so postal service is very reliable, right now with the Corona virus crisis, it can take longer for your order to arrive. Post Denmark assures me it is business as usual, even though they have to switch to overland and by sea for some destinations. I send ALL orders with tracking during this period and keep you updated with regards to arrival times!

Returns and exchange details
Of course you can return your purchase, I will refund your money, or exchange the print you have bought, no questions asked. Please note though, that the print has to be returned in original condition and packaging. If there is something wrong I refund 100%, if you return because it did not fit with your plans, I ask you to please accept that I don't refund postage.
