The "DI' in my shop name stands for Dauphin Island, a small barrier island off the coast of Alabama. We have a house there and the island is the inspiration for much of my art work, both paintings and shell designs. I find a lot of the shells I use on Dauphin Iskenderun and other beaches from Maine to Turks and Caicos! I also buy shells from environmentally friendly sources. I love to "save" things from flea markets and yard sales and give them a new life, either with my shell designs or with paint. Thus, many of my frames and mirrors are vintage or gently used. I hope you enjoy my things as much as I enjoy making them.
