At a very young age, I learned how to sew from my mother and I followed in that tradition with my daughter, Jenn (Jyrus). We both returned to sewing for vintage and fashion dolls over a decade ago. Then, we fell in love with ball-jointed dolls(BJDs). At doll shows, collectors bought our fashion doll clothes for their BJDs and offered suggestions about styles they wanted to find.

We draft our own doll clothing patterns. When a new doll is added to our growing collection, it gets measured from head to toe to help us with that process. With few exceptions, our clothes are limited editions (LE), or one-of-a-kind (OOAK) creations with regard to colors or fabric. We are not a factory that produces hundreds of the same item in the same color, but we have produced limited editions for doll makers to satisfy their productions. That process is now easier with fabrics of our own designs that are printed with an eco-friendly process.

Our fabric is washed with free and clear detergents and tested for colorfastness before use. Washing also helps reduce our allergic reaction to the fabrics. Neither of us smoke or use perfumes. Our cats are not interested in our dolls, though they visit from time to time. Jenn and I are both die-hard craftswomen, so we keep adding to our shop inventory. We like to introduce new designs and styles and it helps to get feedback from our customers. Jenn and I draw inspiration from everything around us wherever we go. Sometimes, it takes buying a new doll for more inspiration.

If our shop turns down a commission, it is because we feel we cannot do our best work on the project. We want our customers to be happy with their purchases.

Coming up with new and unique items for our dolls is challenging and fun. It's a calming distraction in an ever-changing world scene. When we make something for our dolls, we hope others will like it as well.
