Where Art Meets the Garden
Hello, I’m Alice, a botanical artist based in Northern Italy.
My journey into botanical illustration began with a simple desire to look more closely at the natural world around me. What started as curiosity soon became a daily practice of observation, drawing and painting.
Many of my paintings begin in my garden, where flowers, vegetables and visiting insects provide endless opportunities for observation. From there, my curiosity often leads me beyond the garden gate, to the wild plants and small creatures that inhabit the surrounding countryside.
I am fascinated by the relationships between plants and insects, and by the subtle details that often go unnoticed: the structure of a flower, the texture of a leaf, the iridescence of a beetle’s wing, or the quiet presence of a dragonfly among summer blooms. These observations become the starting point for my work.
Each illustration is created by hand using traditional watercolour techniques, with careful attention to observation, detail and the character of each subject. Through my paintings, I hope to preserve a small moment of wonder and encourage others to slow down and notice the beauty that surrounds them.
The prints available in this shop are created from my original artworks using archival-quality printing processes and carefully selected premium materials to ensure beautiful colour reproduction and long-lasting quality.
Fine Art Prints are printed on Hahnemühle Hemp Natural Line paper, individually hand-signed by me, and carefully packaged and shipped from my studio in Italy.
I also offer professionally framed paper prints and framed canvas prints, produced to order by my trusted printing partner using premium archival materials and museum-quality giclée printing. These editions are shipped directly from the printing studio.
Thank you for visiting my shop.
