He estado vendiendo antigüedades en tiendas en Maine y NH durante varios años. También comencé a vender joyas y pequeños, cerámica e iluminación, en otro lugar en línea en 2006. Hice esto de vez en cuando hasta hace aproximadamente un año, cuando me cansé de todas las grandes tiendas de cajas y productos electrónicos, y de las joyas baratas producidas en masa que se estaban apoderando de la vista. Quería continuar mi enfoque en la joyería temprana, navajo vintage y libra esterlina mexicana, y bisutería vintage en una tienda en línea y un amigo distribuidor me habló de Etsy. Eso fue hace 7 años, pero no di el salto hasta finales de octubre de 2011. Había estado ocupado en varias tiendas de b & m, pero decidí centrarme en una tienda local y finalmente abrir en Etsy.
Tengo un gran inventario de joyas, la mitad de ellas desde finales de 1800 hasta principios de 1900, pero tengo una gran afinidad por la bisutería, ¡especialmente cualquier cosa con algo de brillo! Comencé enfocándome principalmente en eso, pero me he asegurado de tener una buena variedad de estilos y épocas. También me encantan las joyas checas, así que siempre trato de incluir algo de eso también.
Me gustaría abrir una segunda tienda de cerámica vintage, iluminación y decoración eventualmente, con suerte a fines del verano a principios del otoño. Me estoy enfocando en este momento en el crecimiento de BebeAndKay y la compra de bellezas de alta calidad para que siempre tenga nuevas piezas para ofrecer. Esa es mi parte favorita; la emoción de la caza! Quiero que mis compradores sientan la misma emoción cuando encuentren algo único y hermoso para ellos o para alguien que aman :)
I have been selling antiques in shops in Maine and NH for several years. I also started selling jewelry and smalls, pottery and lighting, on another online venue in 2006. I did this off and on up until about a year ago, when I grew tired of all the big box stores and electronics, and cheap mass produced jewelry that were taking over the sight. I wanted to continue my focus on early jewelry, vintage navajo and mexican sterling, and vintage costume jewelry in an online shop and a fellow dealer friend told me about Etsy. That was 7 years ago, but I didnt take the leap until the end of October 2011. I had been busy in several b & m shops, but decided to focus on one local shop and finally open up on Etsy.
I have a large inventory of jewelry, half of it from the late 1800s to early 1900s, but I have a huge affinity for costume jewelry, especially anything with some bling! I started by focusing mostly on that, but have made sure to have a nice array of styles and eras. I really love Czech jewelry too so I always try to include some of that as well.
I would like to open up a second shop for vintage pottery, lighting, and decor eventually, hopefully by late summer early fall. I am focusing right now on growing BebeAndKay and purchasing high quality beauties so that I always have new pieces to offer. That is my favorite part; the thrill of the hunt! I want my buyers to feel the same thrill when they find something unique and beautiful for themselves or someone they love:)
