La fotografía ha sido parte de mi vida durante décadas.

Empecé a usar una cámara réflex en los años 80, aprendiendo fotografía de la forma tradicional: con película, paciencia y práctica. En aquel entonces, cada fotograma contaba. No había previsualizaciones instantáneas, ni fotos ilimitadas, ni software de edición para corregir errores. La fotografía me enseñó a ir más despacio, a estudiar la luz y a apreciar los pequeños detalles que la mayoría de la gente pasa por alto.

A medida que la fotografía digital empezó a reemplazar a la analógica, las responsabilidades de la vida y del trabajo me fueron alejando gradualmente de la cámara. Durante muchos años, la fotografía se convirtió más en un recuerdo que en una pasión diaria.
Pero la atracción creativa nunca desapareció por completo.

Al empezar a pensar en la jubilación y en cómo sería la siguiente etapa de mi vida, las conversaciones con un amigo que crea y vende fotografía con drones reavivaron algo que echaba de menos desde hacía mucho tiempo. Decidí invertir en una cámara digital moderna y volver a fotografiar, esta vez con décadas de experiencia vital detrás del objetivo.

Lo que empezó como un simple intercambio de fotografías con amigos en Facebook pronto se convirtió en algo más. La respuesta fue abrumadora. La gente conectó con las imágenes, los colores, la atmósfera y la emoción plasmadas en las escenas. Su apoyo me inspiró a dar el siguiente paso y crear DanInFocus.

Hoy en día, mi fotografía se centra principalmente en paisajes, escenas costeras, imágenes urbanas y momentos en la naturaleza que cuentan una historia a través de la luz y la perspectiva. Ya sea un puerto tranquilo al amanecer, reflejos en el agua al atardecer, calles históricas iluminadas tras la lluvia o fauna capturada en un instante fugaz, mi objetivo siempre es el mismo:

Crear fotografías que hagan que la gente se detenga un momento y sienta algo.

DanInFocus es más que una tienda de fotografía. Es la continuación de una pasión de toda la vida que comenzó con cámaras analógicas hace décadas y que ha regresado a sus orígenes en la era digital.

Photography has been part of my life for decades.

I first picked up an SLR camera in the 1980s, learning photography the traditional way — through film, patience, and practice. Back then, every frame mattered. There were no instant previews, no unlimited shots, and no editing software to rescue a mistake. Photography taught me to slow down, study light, and appreciate the small details most people pass by without noticing.

As digital photography began to replace film, life and career responsibilities gradually pulled me away from the camera. For many years, photography became more of a memory than a daily passion.
But the creative pull never completely disappeared.

As I began thinking about retirement and what the next chapter of life might look like, conversations with a friend who creates and sells drone photography rekindled something I had missed for a long time. I decided to invest in a modern digital camera and start photographing again — this time with decades of life experience behind the lens.

What started as sharing photographs with friends on Facebook quickly became something more. The response was overwhelming. People connected with the images, the colors, the atmosphere, and the emotion captured in the scenes. Their encouragement inspired me to take the next step and create DanInFocus.

Today, my photography focuses primarily on landscapes, coastal scenes, city imagery, and moments in nature that tell a story through light and perspective. Whether it’s a quiet harbor at sunrise, reflections on the water at dusk, historic streets glowing after rain, or wildlife caught in a fleeting moment, my goal is always the same:

To create photographs that make people pause for a moment and feel something.

DanInFocus is more than a photography shop. It’s the continuation of a lifelong passion that began with film cameras decades ago and found its way back home through the digital age.
