It All Started with Clay
Earthy Fig Studio surgió de mi primera tienda de Etsy, Betta Ceramics, donde comencé creando pequeñas piezas funcionales para acuarios. Esa fue mi primera experiencia real con la arcilla, y desde el momento en que la toqué, quedé completamente cautivada.
Lo que empezó creando pequeñas casitas para peces se convirtió rápidamente en una profunda pasión por moldear arcilla y crear objetos cotidianos para mi hogar. Cuencos, tazas, platos: uno a uno, empecé a llenar mis estantes con piezas hechas a mano, desarrollando poco a poco mi propio estilo y voz como ceramista.
Con el tiempo, me di cuenta de que trabajar con arcilla no era solo un oficio, sino una vocación. La terrosidad, el fuego, la paciencia que requiere: todo me conecta con algo más grande. Cada pieza que creo es a la vez funcional y conmovedora, con la marca de lo hecho a mano y la intención de ser amada y usada a diario.
Earthy Fig Studio es el siguiente capítulo de ese viaje: un lugar donde comparto no solo cerámica, sino también las pequeñas creaciones y diseños que surgen de mi amor por las texturas naturales, los tonos apagados y la simplicidad significativa.

Earthy Fig Studio grew out of my very first Etsy shop, Betta Ceramics, where I began by making small, functional pieces for aquariums. That was my first real introduction to clay – and from the moment I felt it in my hands, I was completely captivated.
What started as creating little homes for fish quickly turned into a deep love for shaping clay into everyday objects for my own home. Bowls, mugs, dishes – one by one, I began filling my shelves with handmade pieces, slowly developing my own style and voice as a ceramic artist.
Over time, I realized that working with clay wasn’t just a craft, it was a calling. The earthiness, the fire, the patience it requires – all of it connects me to something bigger. Each piece I make is both functional and soulful, carrying with it the marks of being handmade and the intention to be loved and used every day.
Earthy Fig Studio is the next chapter of that journey – a place where I share not just ceramics, but also the little creations and designs that grow from my love of natural textures, muted tones, and meaningful simplicity.
