And why the hell I want a Fae creature?
There are many questions going through your head right now, and understandably so.
For millennia these creatures have been elusive with humans why? think about it, it is simple, we are cruelly destructive to their world (forests, mountains and lakes) and while they love to have fun at our expense, make us dirty tricks and, why not, occasionally death scares us. They know that without the enthusiasm and belief in magic and the invisible world of human beigns, they have little chance of being able to continue to exist and interact with our world as they have since the beginning of time. Yes, you guessed it right, they need us as much as we need them.
In times of disappointment, steel and concrete, nanochips, plasma and LED ... who remembers the Fae ?.
Since I was a tadpole I felt strangely attracted and captivated by the little people, the invisible ones. Ran forests and villages looking for some clue to their whereabouts while my fellow mates played football. which earned me more of a "loving" appellation. Brian Froud, Alan Lee, films like The Dark Crystal or Labyrinth not helped too to forget it.
Have you never walked through a dense forest and have felt something or someone watching you? Well, my task was to find that "something" that followed me in each of my country walks.
Life took me through many twists and turns ... forgetting (never completely) to the Fae. Responsibilities, the world spinning inexorably and the inertia of a society twisted Machiavellian diverted my path that first purpose I had set in my childhood.
But by chance or fate designs "the tiny ones" have returned to my life and have urged me to promise something. The deal is this. They want no human home lacking a Fae and are willing to cooperate with us to return once and for all to have such a strong and deep connection with them as once had.
For that reason GoblinsLab was born, a place where you can re-find that connection with the world behind the veil of mist, the tales that our grandmothers told us and feel the enthusiasm that you had when you were just a kid and you could see and feel these creatures.
Adopt any of the fantastic creatures who lovingly care for in my studio and you will not regret ... will be helping in the difficult but wonderful job of bringing back the magic to the world.
