Jon Grady has been a home remodeling contractor for over 25 years, specializing in older homes in the Twin Cities area. Last year, he bought a lathe to make wood spindles for a job, and as he honed his skills on this new tool, he discovered how much he enjoys designing and making wood bowls and boxes.
I was so impressed with the beautiful things Jon was making that I saw a business opportunity and created this shop. It's so gratifying for both of us - the maker (Jon) and the admirer/seller (me) - to find that people across the country appreciate Jon's work, too.
Jon makes everything himself in the basement shop of our Victorian home in St. Paul, Minnesota, and uses only wood from trees that have had to be removed because of storms or disease.
Thank you for shopping here. Jon is often bringing new pieces upstairs and I try to get them up on the site as soon as I can, especially the ones I like best, so please come back and visit again soon.
