星 5 個のうち 5 個I wish I had read this sooner. It’s been so helpful in helping me to handle outbursts from my daughter. It also made me realize how I can create a safe place instead of jumping to my typical reaction of anger, frustration, impatience and embarrassment. I realized that my big feelings also need to be understood and processed to help her. I no longer quickly react with anger, as I know that only escalates a situation. I felt like we couldn’t get through a day without being angry, having meltdowns and then feeling sad. Together we worked through the activity pages and go back to them often, when the big emotions appear. I find myself referring to them even when I myself get overwhelmed. Our days have been much smoother, still hard at times, but getting better. I’m so very grateful for this knowledge and guidance.
