LocalAnimalProject

Local Animal Project började med ett fokus på utrotningshotade inhemska arter i Colorado. Men eftersom djuren inte känner igen statsgränser ändrades fokus. Projektet handlar om djur vars flyttvanor har fört dem till Klippiga bergen, där de har gjort sitt hem för allt från några hundra till tusentals år sedan. Även icke-hotade djur ingår, och representerar balansen och den symbiotiska naturen hos alla varelser, utrotningshotade eller inte, som är nödvändig för ett hälsosamt och fungerande ekosystem.

Med tiden har jag gjort min egen del av migrationen. Local Animal Project har fortsatt att omfatta olika delar av världen och fört med sig idén att var vi än är, så är vi lokala och har ett ansvar för vårt hem.

Local Animal Project started off as a focus on endangered native Colorado species. However, as animals don’t recognize state lines, the focus changed. The project features animals whose migratory habits have brought them to the Rocky Mountains, who have made it their home from anywhere between a few hundred to thousands of years. Non-threatened animals are included as well, representing the balance and symbiotic nature of all creatures, endangered or not, necessary to a healthy, functioning ecosystem.

Over time I have done my own bit of migration. Local Animal Project has gone on to encompass different parts of the world, bringing the idea that wherever we are, we are local, and we have a responsibility to our home.
