Saluti! Sono Daniel Piedrahita e sono entusiasta di darti il benvenuto su MakeWithDan.

La nostra storia è iniziata nel turbinio del cambiamento, quando io e la mia famiglia ci siamo recentemente trasferiti in una nuova casa, una casa benedetta con un garage, la pietra angolare dei miei sogni di falegnameria. Nella nostra casa precedente, non potendo avere uno spazio di lavoro dedicato, il sogno di realizzare penne fatte a mano sembrava fuori portata. Ma con il trasloco nella nostra nuova casa, nonostante le spese aggiuntive, si è presentata l’opportunità di trasformare quel sogno in realtà. MakeWithDan è nato dagli umili confini del nostro garage, un santuario dove la creatività non conosce limiti.

Creare con uno scopo

La mia passione per la lavorazione del legno nasce durante gli anni del liceo, quando mi iscrivo ad un corso di falegnameria presso un istituto tecnico. Sotto la guida di istruttori qualificati, ho imparato l'arte della lavorazione del legno, dalla modellatura del legno grezzo alla tornitura del legno al tornio. Al mio fianco c'erano la mia amata madre e la mia sorella minore, che mi hanno fornito sostegno e incoraggiamento incrollabili durante tutto il mio viaggio.

Sostenere la famiglia, perseguire i sogni

Essendo il figlio maggiore, ho sempre sentito la responsabilità di sostenere mia madre e di aiutare a prendermi cura della mia sorellina, che affronta difficoltà con la dislessia. MakeWithDan non è solo un'impresa commerciale: è un mezzo per provvedere alla mia famiglia mentre perseguo la mia passione per la lavorazione del legno. Ogni penna realizzata con amore e dedizione serve a ricordare la forza e la resilienza del nostro legame familiare.

Our Story

Greetings! I'm Daniel Piedrahita, and I'm thrilled to welcome you to MakeWithDan.

Our story began amidst the whirlwind of change, as my family and I recently relocated to a new home—a home blessed with a garage, the cornerstone of my woodworking dreams. In our previous house, unable to have a dedicated workspace, the dream of crafting handmade pens seemed out of reach. But with the move to our new home, despite the added expenses, an opportunity arose to turn that dream into reality. MakeWithDan was born from the humble confines of our garage, a sanctuary where creativity knows no bounds.

Crafting with Purpose

My passion for woodworking was ignited during my high school years, where I enrolled in a carpentry program at a technical high school. Under the guidance of skilled instructors, I learned the art of woodworking, from shaping raw timber to turning wood on a lathe. Alongside me were my beloved mother and younger sister, who provided unwavering support and encouragement throughout my journey.

Supporting Family, Pursuing Dreams

As the eldest son, I've always felt a responsibility to support my mother and help care for my little sister, who faces challenges with dyslexia. MakeWithDan is not just a business venture—it's a means to provide for my family while pursuing my passion for woodworking. Every pen crafted with love and dedication serves as a reminder of the strength and resilience of our family bond.
