5 out of 5 starsMuy satisfecha con mi compra.

Visual meditations | Prints and paintings for your walls
My work process begins in my notebooks. The cave where I get in. I sharpen a lot until I reach the universe of my mind. A universe that is history, travel, ritual and symbolism of myself. I draw for hours and then digitally combine the different elements chosen from all my sketches to form a unique work that gives meaning to the subject I want to work on. Normally, this process is followed by choosing a color for the background that will greatly condition the rest of the colors that will complete the work.
The next step is to unfold the final sketch on the canvas, the same way medieval illustrators filled their miniature illustrations anguished by horror vacui - that "fear of the void" that I share so much with them. Emanations and illuminations. As in the paintings of Brueghel or Hieronymus Bosch, in mine many things also happen and concur at once: the segment of a pain or a joy, the reason for a dream, the fragment of a story. It is a multiplicity that converges on the retina to suggest the visionary and panoptic experience of (the / my) Reality.
The choice of colors is always a complex process for me, I spend hours looking at the canvas where I visualize each element coloring it until I feel confident enough to make it happen.
As for digital illustrations, things are maybe easier. I just pick one of my sketches and work on it digitally. I normally work with the same palette, the one I have been doing for years. If I feel that it is asking me for something else, then I swim into my sketchbook again and complete it with new drawings.
