Whispering emotions that words often fail to capture.
Sono nato e cresciuto ad Atene, in Grecia. Provengo da una famiglia di artisti, che mi ha influenzato fino ad oggi. Ho ricordi di quando da bambino vagavo per il laboratorio litografico di mio padre. Le grandi macchine offset incombevano su di me, come se stessi passeggiando in una grande città, con i suoni ritmici generati dalla riproduzione della maquette che culminavano nel miracoloso processo di stampa. Ancora oggi, il profumo che si sprigiona sfogliando un libro mi riempie di ricordi ed emozioni. Quell'emozione è il motivo per cui porto sempre con me un quaderno, dove annoto pensieri e immagini di qualsiasi cosa mi ispiri la mente. Grazie a questo, ho compreso la lussuosa essenza della carta e il potere dell'illustrazione e della scrittura che mi avrebbe accompagnato per il resto della mia vita. Essendo un bambino introverso con una mente curiosa, ho sviluppato la capacità di visualizzare le emozioni e la parola scritta che mi hanno portato a studiare arte e design. Grazie alle mie lunghe esperienze professionali, ma soprattutto grazie alla mia intuizione personale, ho sviluppato la passione per l'osservazione delle esperienze e la cattura di immagini, emozioni e suoni per condividerli con voi attraverso i miei dipinti. Ho imparato a seguire il percorso che la vita mi ha indicato e ad apprezzare la bellezza che mi circonda. Guardando sempre il lato positivo delle cose.
I am a native of Athens, Greece born and raised. I come from an artistic family, which has influenced me to this day. I have memories as a child wandering around my father’s lithography workshop. The large offset equipment towering over me as if I were taking a walk in a big city with the rhythmic sounds generated by the reproduction of the maquette and culminating in the miraculous process of printing. Even today the scent that emerges during my browsing through a book causes me to brim with memories and emotion. That emotion is the reason why I always carry a notebook with me, writing down thoughts and images of whatever inspires my mind. Through this, I realized the paper’s luxurious essence and the power of illustration and writing that would accompany me for the rest of my life. Given that I was an introverted child with an inquisitive mind, I developed the ability to visualize emotions and the written word that took me on a path to study art and design. Because of my long-term professional experiences but mostly through personal insight, I developed a love of observing experiences and capturing those images, emotions and sounds in order to share them with you through my paintings. I learned to pursue the path that life showed me and to cherish the beauty that surrounds me. Always looking on the bright side of things.
