P.D. Sobre los nombres: Studio Metasilk es el árbol; todo mi trabajo crece bajo este nombre. Whimsical Dreams es una de las ramas. En Etsy, no pude usar ese nombre de rama como ya había sido tomado. Sin embargo, puedes encontrar mi arte en otras partes de la web bajo los nombres de metasilk (¡ese soy yo!), sueños caprichosos (cosas de dragones y hadas, en su mayoría), mujeres de tormenta bailando (lo que dice que es), sueños de duendes (¡sí, de verdad!), y criaturas cargando cosas (también conocidas como criaturas con equipo). Todo esto me hace pensar que Winne-the-Pooh tenía razón, viviendo bajo un solo nombre, "¡Sanders"! Si tuviera que hacerlo de nuevo... bueno, soy yo, probablemente todavía tendría muchas ramas con nombres tontos. ¡Supongo que soy así!
I started the shop as an experiment and it's still rather that. As illustrations keep leaking out of my fingers, despite however busy I get, I'm looking for ways to share them. What will work? Tiny prints? Wee crafted things? Commissions? Originals? Let's find out!
I'd love to earn enough from my art to send my kids to college and then travel the world. So far, not yet... but your enthusiasm does supply me with more coffee and more paint! So thank you!
P.S. On names: Studio Metasilk is the tree; all of my work grows under this name. Whimsical Dreams is one of the branches. On Etsy, I couldn't use that branch name as it had already been taken. However, you may find my art elsewhere on the web under the names metasilk (that's me!), whimsical dreams (dragon and fairy stuff, mostly), storm women dancing (what it says it is), goblin dreams (yes, really!), and critters lugging stuff around (aka critters with gear). All this make me think Winne-the-Pooh had it right, living under just one name ,"Sanders"! If I were to do it again... well, it's me, I'd probably still have a lot of branches with silly names. Guess I'm like that!
