  • The pots are thrown by hand on a potter's wheel, with spouts, knobs, and handles added the next day.
  • The patterns on the pots are carved free-hand and inlayed with slip in the 'leather hard' stage (about half dry.)
  • The kiln burns only wood and takes four days to fire.

    Kate Waltman is a studio potter living and working in Seagrove, NC. She loves working with natural materials and draws inspiration from the natural world.
