The Story Behind Willow & Wave ✨
Hola, soy Jenn.
Willow & Wave nació durante uno de los capítulos más difíciles de mi vida. En dos años, perdí a mi hermano Kenny y a mi padre, dos personas que no solo eran fundamentales en mi vida, sino una parte esencial de mi identidad. Cuidarlos, amarlos y estar presente para ellos había sido parte de lo que era durante tanto tiempo que, cuando se fueron, me pregunté quién era sin ellos.
En medio de toda esa tristeza, mi hermana Michele, sin saberlo, cambió el rumbo de mi vida cuando me entregó un vestido en una pequeña boutique y me dijo: "Esto te queda perfecto".
Me conocía lo suficientemente bien como para reconocer algo en mí que yo misma había olvidado.
Era el vestido más bonito que jamás había visto.
Me lo llevé a casa y estuvo guardado en mi armario durante casi un año. Nunca me lo puse. Ni siquiera me lo probé.
Pero no podía dejarlo pasar.
Un día, comencé a investigar su origen y a los artesanos que lo elaboraban. Lo que empezó como curiosidad se convirtió en pasión, y esa pasión dio origen a Willow & Wave.
Hoy en día, nuestros vestidos son confeccionados a mano por talentosos artesanos en la India y diseñados pensando en las mujeres que desean sentirse bellas, seguras de sí mismas y completamente ellas mismas.
Mi hermana Michele fue mi primera inversora financiera, y si no hubiera sido por ella, Willow & Wave podría no existir.
Y mi hermano Kenny sigue inspirándome cada día. Su creatividad, su apoyo y su confianza en mí ayudaron a dar forma al sueño que hay detrás de Willow & Wave.
De la pérdida surgió un propósito.
De entre los escombros surgieron Willow y Wave.

Hi, I'm Jenn.
Willow & Wave was born during one of the most difficult chapters of my life. Within two years, I lost my brother Kenny and my father—two people who were not only central to my life, but a big part of my identity. Caring for them, loving them, and showing up for them had been part of who I was for so long that when they were gone, I found myself wondering who I was without them.
In the middle of all that heartbreak, my sister Michele unknowingly changed the course of my life when she handed me a dress in a small boutique and said, "This is so you."
She knew me well enough to recognize something in me that I had forgotten myself.
It was the prettiest dress I had ever seen.
I brought it home, and it sat in my closet for nearly a year. I never wore it. I never even tried it on.
Yet I couldn't let it go.
One day, I began researching where it came from and the artisans who made it. What started as curiosity became a passion, and that passion became Willow & Wave.
Today, our dresses are handcrafted by talented artisans in India and curated with intention for women who want to feel beautiful, confident, and completely themselves.
My sister Michele was my first financial investor, and if she hadn't picked out that dress for me, Willow & Wave might not exist.
And my brother Kenny continues to inspire me every day. His creativity, encouragement, and belief in me helped shape the dream behind Willow & Wave.
Out of loss came purpose.
Out of the rubble came Willow & Wave.
