En 2008, durante el último año de mi licenciatura en Artes Visuales, hice una pasantía en una empresa de decoración de paredes. Disfruté el trabajo y lo que estaba creando, pero no tanto el entorno de la oficina o la gestión y las limitaciones creativas que conllevaba. Justo después de eso, salí corriendo con el circo y luego estudié terapia de masaje y entrenamiento personal y me obsesioné totalmente con el cuerpo humano y todo lo relacionado con la salud.
En 2010, comencé mi primera tienda de Etsy con mi madre, es una tienda vintage. Dos años más tarde comencé una tienda de productos hechos a mano que se ha convertido en RelicsRemixt.Etsy.com. Quería seguir creando arte utilizando efímeras vintage, libros antiguos y mi propia fotografía.
Esta tienda es un complemento de RelicsRemixt, totalmente dedicado a los carteles temáticos pedagógicos. Soy un geek completo de anatomía y biología que trabaja en mi Maestría en Nutrición y Salud Integrativa y estoy trabajando hacia la escuela de medicina.
Mark, mi impresor fue mi compañero de trabajo en la pasantía en 2008. Desde entonces ha formado su propia imprenta y produce impresiones hermosas y de alta calidad.
In 2008, during the last year of my undergrad degree in Visual Arts, I interned at a wall decor company. I enjoyed the work and what I was creating but not so much the office environment or the management and the creative limitations that came with it. Right after that, I ran off with the circus and then studied massage therapy and personal training and became totally obsessed with the human body and everything health.
In 2010, I started my first Etsy shop with my mom- it's a vintage shop. Two years later I started a shop of handmade goods which has evolved into RelicsRemixt.Etsy.com. I wanted to continue to create art using found vintage ephemera, antique books, and my own photography.
This shop is an add-on to RelicsRemixt, fully dedicated to pedagogic themed posters. I am a complete anatomy and biology geek working on my Master's degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health and am working my way toward medical school.
Mark, my printer was my coworker at the internship back in 2008. He has since formed his own printing company and produces beautiful, high quality prints.
