My LOVE for being creative!
When I was a child, my mom, an avid quilter, taught me how to sew and I have loved it ever since. My mom always said that creativity ran in the family. My grandmother, Louise Altson, was a famous portrait painter. She studied at the Polytechnic School of Art in London, England, where she specialized in portrait painting and figure composition. She was accepted to exhibit for several consecutive years at the Royal Academy in London before coming to the United States in 1939. Although I am much more of a crafter than a skilled artist. When my daughters were little I would sew them matching outfits all the time. I slowly started making dolls, teddy bears, quilts, rag blankets, etc. My love for creating things continued to grow and grow and then I started scrap-booking, making cards, and various items from paper. The Lord God has been good and after much prayer, in 2013 I decided to open my shop and see where He would take me. I am mostly wife to my Prince Charming and mother to two beautiful adult daughters, two sons-in-laws, and two grandsons. My oldest taught we has an Etsy Shop as well. You can find her at FoundJewelrySD.
