Barnwood Mix (#1-3)

This is real aged wood and colors and textures vary from barn wood browns to barnwood light grays to Barn Wood dark greys (If you would prefer more gray or brown just add a note when checking out or send us an email and we can accommodate). The wood also typically has weathered cracks, knots and nail, screw, and sometimes bolt holes from its previous life. While we love the naturally weathered look & we make every effort to maintain the aged beauty of the wood, we hand sand and then cover the barnwood with several coats of a water-based matte polyurethane to protect you from the wood and the wood from you. Basically, it is smooth enough to run your hand over (without a fear of getting slivers) but will be bumpy and uneven. You have been warned! This is still a perfect rustic option for a modern farmhouse, coastal cottage, cabin, lake house or adventurous Manhattan apartment. If you have specific requests about the rusticity of your table, please let us know when you order.

Reclaimed & Planed (#4-7)

The Reclaimed & Planed finishes use the same reclaimed barn wood, but we run it through a planer and sander to give it a smoother, flatter finish. It will still have knots cracks & nail holes as well as some variations in color depending on the age, type, and grain of the wood.

Natural: The natural finish keeps the natural color varieties of the wood (from blonde wood to dark brown) allowing the matte Polyurethane to bring out the amazing natural colors hidden within the reclaimed wood.

Light, Medium and Dark Stain: After planing and sanding, we use water-based wood dyes, then seal with the matte polyurethane. There will still be some differences in hue

Painted Accent Colors-

If you are looking to add a little color to your living room, family room, or office we've got you covered. Just specify which accent colors in the personalization box. We then paint & distress select the wood to bring out the natural color underneath and finish it off with the matte polyurethane. This option is ideal for the country farmhouse look or a coastal theme.

Due to the popularity of our wooden X legs (and the varying availability of reclaimed wood to make them) we now (April 2023) have 2 styles to choose from:
New: Urban Upcycled (UP) made with 1.25" thick X 2.75" wide reclaimed planed wood
Original: Farmhouse Modern (FM) made with 2.25" X 2.25" reclaimed & planed wood.

Metal: We now (August 2023) also have a metal X-leg made with 2" wide steel flat bar, cut and bent to shape in shop!
