Materials: rattan reed, hard wood handle, black walnut stain

The perfect basket for display on a mantel - leave it empty as I did for the photos or add a collection of pillar candles, or a topiary to one end, or a collection of antique leather books, or.....the list just goes on and on!

Woven from Rattan reed, I made this basket using a hardwood handle centered in the middle. The basket measures approximately 31" long x 6 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" to the top of the basket and 8" to the top of the handle.

When completed, I stained the basket in my homemade boiled black walnut dye - made from water and black walnut hulls. I do not use chemicals in my stain.
